Porcello Engineering, Inc. is a full-service professional organization with specialty services in Engineering Design, Construction Management, Cost Estimating, Forensic Analysis, Expert Witness, and Materials Testing and Inspection. Design
- Our Engineering Design services include detailed care in meeting all applicable codes and standards. Additionally, we utilize traditional design principles with an eye to forward-thinking applications in discrete building elements such as: building facades, fenestrations, roofing elements, structural framing, earth structures and building rehabilitation and restoration.
Construction Management
- Our team focuses on developing an interactive, inclusive working relationship that includes the client, the design firms and the construction professionals. One of the most relevant components of our design service is our multi-layered approach and expertise in Construction Management. We firmly believe that a construction project is dynamic and fluid and often changes on a daily, if not an hourly basis. PEI excels in our multi-dimensional and all-encompassing approach to each facet of the construction process, stemming from education and extensive knowledge based on our prior experience and expertise.
Cost Estimating
- Through our design and construction management background, we have developed a philosophy of and belief in cost-effective construction measures and methods that maximize value for our clients while simultaneously minimizing waste. In recent years, the business practice of Cost-Estimating has grown along with the age of electronic availability of accurate estimating data. To increase productivity and profitability in a market that operates on the "time is money" concept, we employ state-of-the-art methodology with all available tools and data to produce the utmost in reliable and accurate estimates.
Forensic Analysis
- The underpinning ethos of Forensic Analysis is to distinguish evidence from coincidence, without ambiguity; always based on facts and scientific principles that are recognized by others in the same field of expertise. We pride ourselves on the ability to operate with the foundational tools needed to fully examine, analyze and interpret all of the processes by which items of evidence have been provided. These guiding principles are extensively utilized in both our Forensic Analysis and Expert Witness services.
Materials Testing and Inspection
- Our engineers, inspectors and consultants are available for code compliance inspections on all levels of residential, commercial and infrastructure construction including: earthwork, foundation installation, framing erection and structural systems, exterior façade construction, window and roofing installation, and mechanical systems. We also provide materials testing services in our AASHTO Accredited laboratory.
